2017 Reading Assignment Challenge signup

Because Reading is better than real life

This is hosted by Berls at Fantasy is more fun and Michelle at Because Reading and you can sign up at this link. So I did finish half of the months last year, but not the other half. :( However I did get 6 books off of my TBR, so that was nice. I am going to try harder this year to finish all 12 this time around and I am only going to do one a month, which is Reading Level 1. With the three book clubs and teaching a summer course on top of my full-time job, I know one book will be pushing it at times.

My list in no particular order:
Cress by Marissa Meyer
Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan
The Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan
City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
The Copper Gauntlet by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare
The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare
Champion by Marie Lu
Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
Saavy by Ingrid Law
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

Thanks to Berls and Michelle for hosting! Good luck to everyone!

Bout of Books Day 7 and Wrapup

Bout of Books 18

Day 7: I read 78 pages in The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen and was able to finish it. I also read 104 pages in Crimson Frost by Jennifer Estep, so I got in more reading than I thought I would.

I am sad BoB is over and can't wait until May. I was able to participate in both Twitter chats, do one challenge, and read 644 pages and finish two books, which is really good for me. Thank you to the hosts and I hope everyone had a good time!

Bout of Books Day 6 Update

Bout of Books 18

Day 6: I made it to the Twitter chat, so I was able to participate in both Twitter chats. I think that is my favorite part of BoB, because there are always fun people in the chats. I also managed to read 172 pages of the Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen and I think I will be able to finish it on Sunday.

Bout of Books Update Days 3, 4, 5

Bout of Books 18

I managed to finish Dark Frost reading 200 pages the past three days. I have also read another 30 pages in the Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen. I really have to finish that book before Monday, so it will be the focus of my reading for the next couple of days. With the weather, I was not home on Thursday night, so I am slowly updating and catching up on my reading. Hope you all are doing great!

Bout of Books Day 1 and Day 2 Update

Bout of Books 18

Day 1 Update: I was able to attend the Twitter chat which was super fun as always. I also did the #insixwords challenge on Twitter. Reading wise it was a good day. I read 100 pages in Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen and 60 pages in Dark Frost.

Day 2: Nothing. I had a migraine and went to bed as soon as I got home from work. :(

COYER Blackout signup

wintercoyer-16-17

This is hosted by Berls, Michelle, and Stormi and you can sign up at this link. Technically this started December 17, but I have been in a blogging slump and am just now posting my signup. The challenge runs from December 17 to March 3, 2017 and focuses on reading books on your e-reader. I have a few free review books I would like to get to and this challenge does help me focus on that. The COYER people are also a fun group and there are Facebook posts and Twitter chats.
I will add to my reading list as I go.
