ARC August signup

ARC August 2015
ARC August is hosted by Octavia at Read Sleep Repeat and you can sign up at this link. I am going to try to read at least 2 ARCs, since I am far behind in my reads! I want to read Dearest by Althea Kontis and possibly Iron Trial by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black. I am really excited about these two books, so hopefully I can dive into them next month. Thank you to Octavia for hosting this again!

Bout of Books 11 Signup

Bout of Books

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 18th and runs through Sunday, August 24th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 11 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

I love Bout of Books and this is my 7th one! I will be making a reading list and goals closer to time.

High Summer Read-a-thon Checkin

This decided to be the busiest work week I have had since summer reading ended. Things have been both stressful and busy at work and this has left me coming home exhausted and frazzled. I have also been working on the Intro to Children's Lit class I will be teaching starting in a month, so blogging and reading, but mainly blogging has fallen by the wayside. Hopefully good things are coming soon for us at work, but we'll see. So far I have read/listened to 141 pages of the Lost Hero, read 5 pages of Thistle and Thyme, and read to page 145 in The Snow Bride. Hopefully I will finish The Snow Bride today and maybe read a few more pages in the other books.

Thanks again to Michelle for hosting!

Wicked Wildfire Read-a-thon Wrapup

Wicked Wildfire Read-a-Thon 2014

Work was crazy this week and I was too exhausted to do anything but eat dinner and sleep when I came home, so this was not my best showing on a read-a-thon. I had hoped to comment on blogs, but that rarely happened. I did manage to complete two mini-challenges, but forgot about Twitter chats. I finished A Wrinkle in Time and A Wind at the Door, but everyone in the book club cancelled. I was glad to reread them though and I think they do make for good discussions. I have a couple of books that I am close to finishing, but didn't quite make it before the end of the read-a-thon. In total, I read/ listened to 632 pages, so I did meet my at least 500 pages goal!
Thanks again to April and Kat for hosting!

Limabean Designs

This is part of the COYER Summer Vacation Read-a-thon, but you do not have to be participating in COYER to do this one. This will run July 25 to July 27 and you can sign up at this link.

I have one book on my pile for this read-a-thon so far, The Snow Bride by Debbie Macomber. I loved both of her Mrs. Miracle books, so I wanted to try another Christmasy one by her.
Thanks to Berls and Michelle for hosting!

Day 1: Read 145 pages of The Snow Bride
Day 2: Read 89 pages and finished!
