Christmas in July read-a-thon

XmasinJuly
Limabean Designs

This is part of the COYER Summer Vacation Read-a-thon, but you do not have to be participating in COYER to do this one. This will run July 25 to July 27 and you can sign up at this link.

I have one book on my pile for this read-a-thon so far, The Snow Bride by Debbie Macomber. I loved both of her Mrs. Miracle books, so I wanted to try another Christmasy one by her.
Thanks to Berls and Michelle for hosting!

Day 1: Read 145 pages of The Snow Bride
Day 2: Read 89 pages and finished!

Wicked Wildfire Read-a-thon Day 7, 8 and 9 Updates

Wicked Wildfire Read-a-Thon 2014

Day 7: A Wind in the Door-120 pages and finished!, Wanderlove- 13 pages
Finished A Wind in the Door just in time! I like A Wrinkle in Time a bit better, but I am curious to see what the teens thought about them both. I am really enjoying Wanderlove and hope that I can finish it before the end of the read-a-thon!

Day 8:The Lost Hero- 23 pages
Not much time for reading, but I did get a little of the audio book in.

Day 9: The Lost Hero- 24 pages, Thistle and Thyme- 35 pages
Mini-challenges: April's Jigsaw Puzzle- This was really fun. Thanks to April for hosting!
Kat's Tune this Title. Loved this! I picked Norah Jones' Come Away with Me to match with Wanderlove. Thanks to Kat for hosting!

Wicked Wildfire Read-a-thon Days 4-6 Updates

Wicked Wildfire Read-a-Thon 2014

Day 4: The Lost Hero- 29 pages
Not much reading today. I am so bogged down with work, housework, and preparing the class that I just can't find time to read. Friday we are going out, so I will probably have an even lower number, but there is always Saturday!

Day 5: The Lost Hero- 13 pages
We went to the Lincoln play/musical which was good and ate at Los Amigos which was really good! However I did not get to read much at all.

Day 6: A Wind in the Doo-100 pages
I completely forgot about the Twitter chat. We decided to go out to eat for a late lunch and by the time I remembered the chat, it was already over. I did get almost halfway through A Wind in the Door. I have to read it by Monday for the Teen Book Group, so that will be my focus on Sunday!

Wicked Wildfire Read-a-thon Day 1-3 Updates

Wicked Wildfire Read-a-Thon 2014

I kept meaning to update yesterday and got distracted, so I will just make this a three day update.
Day 1: Wrinkle in Time- 62 pages
I finally went to the eye doctor for an exam to get new glasses and contacts and my eyes had to be dilated. Everything was fine, but the sensitivity to light gave me a migraine, so even though I was off work the whole day, I only read a little bit. I hope to finish Wrinkle in Time very soon and get A Wind in the Door started.

Day 2: The Lost Hero- 46 pages
This was mostly audiobook progress, but I did read a chapter too. I ordered my glasses and contacts today and that took longer than I thought. I finally found a pair that was not too tight and were kind of cute. I only wear my glasses at night after work, so I am not really that picky when I choose them.

Day 3:A Wrinkle in Time 20 pages and finished!, The Lost Hero- 18 pages
Wild day at work and then I had to do some prep work for the Children's Lit class I will be teaching in the fall. I did finish Wrinkle in Time though!
