Minichallenge- 1 Create a Story -- Never Too Fond of Books
 The rules by Mandi Kaye
  1. Open your current book to the last page you read.
  2. Using the last word of every line, create a poem or story. You must use every word (but they do not have to be in order), and you may add punctuation as necessary. If a word is split between the end of the line and the beginning of the next one, you may choose whether or not to use it.

This was really hard and it doesn't quite make sense, but is was really fun! These words are from page 268 of Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey.

The hundred years marks the table, we slammed. Lessa’s mind is going, missing, left, but they see our cautious help. Up ahead we can shake briskly between this intermediate, imbalanced evening. We turn alive…to die. Did we?

Minichallenge 1 Double Date Book Challenge -- Writing My Own Fairy Tale
For this minichallenge we had to recommend two books that we think people should read together.
For this I chose Persuasion by Jane Austen and For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund.
For Darkness Shows the Stars is a retelling of Persuasion in a society that is rebuilding after wars and natural disasters and is a bit dystopian. The romance in both books is beautiful and I loved them both. I did this for the Classic Double Challenge hosted by Melissa at One Librarian's Book Reviews. My review and comparison is here.
For Darkness Shows the Stars (For Darkness Shows the Stars, #1)
Balzer and Bray

The cover is also beautiful!

Minichallenge 1 Introduce Someone to Your Favorite Genre -- Doing Dewey
I commented "I am really enjoying YA Steampunk. I haven't read a whole lot in the genre, but my favorites are the Steampunk Chronicles by Kady Cross and the Leviathan trilogy by Scott Westerfeld. I love the mix of history, strong female leads, and machines. Also the steampunk clothing is really cool. I particularly like the alternative history of WWI in the Leviathan trilogy. I hope to start some of Gail Carriger's books soon! Thanks for hosting!"
