2013 Challenges

These are the year long challenges I picked to participate in for this year.

This challenge is hosted by Melissa at One Librarian's Book Reviews (1lbr). The idea is to read a classic book or original story, fairy tale, or mythology and compare that to a retelling or a book that relates to the classic story. Melissa lists several options on her site, which you can go to by clicking the image at the top or on her blog's name in this post. She also has different levels you can choose to complete. This year I am trying for the Medium Challenge, which is two pairs or four books.
Pair Number 1
Ten by Gretchen McNeil/And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie-reviewed here.
Pair Number 2 Towering by Alex Flinn/ Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm-reviewed here.
Finished!

    2013 Book Bingo Reading Challenge
    2013 Bingo Challenge Button-01

The goal of this challenge is to try to read as many books as possible and make a bingo and possibly a blackout.
    The board looks like this:

For more of the challenge rules click here. I don't plan on actually making a complete cover of the board, but I am going to try to read as many books as possible for this challenge. Since you can use books for other challenges, I should be able to make a horizontal BINGO if nothing else. I may try for the square as well, because there are several books I need to get off my TBR pile and several books I would love to re-read.
Thanks to Anne from Creativity’s Corner and Kristilyn from Reading in Winter for hosting!
I still have several books to go, but I have completed one vertical line! I am close to completing two more!!
