May Random Read: The Maelstrom by Henry Neff

Random Reads

This is a meme hosted by Sarah at imlovingbooks.com. You can choose to use Goodreads or create your own list or use your bookshelves.  The idea is to use random.org and type in the number of books on your list. Whatever number you receive is your random read for the month. I have decided  to use the books on my Kindle as my list. I buy or get free far too many books on my Kindle and then never read them. My current number stands at 443, so only two books purchased last month! I finished March's read and have started April's read, so I am still one month behind. I hope to finish April's read and May's read which is number 273. Number 273 is The Maelstrom by Henry Neff, funnily enough the random read I got stuck on my first year participating in Random Reads. My goal is to conquer it this time around! It is a series about a boy who defends the world against demons. He is a reborn version of Cuchulain, a warrior from Celtic mythology. I enjoyed the first 3 books, so I hope to get into the 4th one.

  1. I have been working on lowering my kindle books also. I have a few I paid for and some free ones. I just finished my March read Swan Sisters so I only have my April one left to catch up on. I plan to pick my May read today.

    1. I hope you get a good one! I still need to review a few books including Cruel Beauty. It was a good retelling!

  2. I am really terrible about using my Nook. I only have a handful of purchased books on it, but they have been sitting there untouched for ages. Maybe one of these months I should skip the random number generator and just read Nook books! ~Megan
